It is with mixed emotions that I announce my partial retirement from dentistry, effective August 1, 2026.
For the past 39 years, it has been a profound privilege and joy to care for your smiles and watch many of your families grow. The relationships we’ve built over the years have meant more to me than words can express, and I will deeply miss the many friendships we have shared.
As I begin this exciting new chapter, I am delighted to introduce Dr. Ruben Mora, who will be taking over my practice and caring for your dental needs. I spent considerable time searching for the right person to carry on the tradition of exceptional care you have come to expect.
Dr. Mora earned his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2008 and is a member of the CDA, ADA, and San Diego County Dental Society. He successfully owned and operated a dental practice in Texas for 15 years before relocating to San Diego, where he and his family have long hoped to settle. Dr. Mora brings extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, Invisalign, implant placement, and full-mouth rehabilitation. His dedication to patient care, community service, and clinical excellence is truly inspiring. We will be working closely together during a three-month transition to ensure a seamless experience for you. I have complete trust in Dr. Mora’s abilities and know you will be in excellent hands.
I am also pleased to share that the wonderful team you have come to know and trust will remain with the practice. Their dedication, experience, and genuine care for our patients have always been the heart of our office, and I know they will continue to provide the outstanding service you deserve.
Your dental records will remain securely on file, ensuring a seamless transition. As part of this exciting new chapter, the practice will also be moving to a beautiful new office located at 6080 Lake Murray Boulevard, Suite B in La Mesa, designed to provide an even more comfortable, modern, and welcoming environment for your care.

Although I am stepping away from ownership, I am happy to share that I will continue seeing patients in the office one week each month during the first year. This will allow me to support Dr. Mora and help ensure continuity of care for our patients.
